The Mission
The Blake Johnson Alliance was established in 2015 by Los Angeles entrepreneur Blake B. Johnson. After identifying a need to find more impactful and network-driven ways to further the art of giving, The Blake Johnson Alliance has become one of the more innovative organizations in the advancement of education, arts, sciences, and social well-being.
Johnson envisions a new approach to philanthropic institutions and their respective models in far-reaching benefits for humanity. By taking a bold, creative approach to grantmaking and hands-on mentorship, he has created connections between organizations that were once unknown or undiscovered.
In recent years, the Alliance has focused on science and arts education in Southern California. By holding itself accountable to ongoing contributions, this site serves as a live document of ongoing activity in the advancement of these “core four” disciplines.
Johnson is a firm believer in the power of mentorship, and we believe that a high-quality, well-rounded college education is vital for tomorrow's leaders. The Blake Johnson Alliance’s relationships with low-income education programs promote inventive approaches to instruction and effective involvement of students in research at colleges across the nation.
Our support of Southern California-based organizations enriching the lives of our region's residents has expanded and deepened over the years. We place a special emphasis on children, youth and their families, with the goal of providing safe, healthy, supportive environments that prepare children to succeed in school and in life.
